Zhang Yin Space

Zhang Yins space is also based on expansive, but a much more passive expansion than Jobs. Originally starting with a + shaped plan, the rooms are built off in all directions. This creates an almost Eisenmann-esque intesection of some walls on some areas, as well as some awkwardly shaped passages.

The design is deliberately open and natural. The lighting is mainly from natural sources, filtered by the chinese lattice, and the centre of teh building, where Zhang Yin would do her work from is completely open to the natural light and air.

The building is surrounded and supported by boxes which have been applied with a subtle texture, and the whole thing is suspended from the datum by thin wires, emphasising the light, unobtrusive nature of the building.
